Frequent questions
ORDERING AND TIMELINE
-
Remember that many of your guests live together because they are married or part of the same family. Only ONE invitation is needed per household.
I sell suites and save the dates in increments of 25, starting at 25. I always tell my clients to have 10-15 extra suites, so you have a clean copy for photography on your wedding day, clean suites for keepsakes, and plenty in the case that invitations are returned to you.
For example, if you need to mail 105 suites, go ahead and order 125. You won’t regret it! -
If you are planning an international wedding, or a wedding that requires more than half of your guests to book a flight and make hotel arrangements, mail save the dates as soon as possible. This may be 12-18 months in advance.
If the majority of your guests are local to the wedding venue, or can drive to the wedding venue, you may mail save the dates 6-8 months in advance of your wedding date.
If you are planning a short engagement, save the dates may be mailed as late as four months prior to the wedding date. -
For most weddings, invitations are mailed 8–10 weeks before the wedding date. If you did not send save the dates, are hosting a destination wedding, or have a large number of international guests, invitations may be mailed as early as 16 weeks prior to the celebration.
I recommend beginning the invitation process as soon as your wedding details are finalized. Suites that include custom artwork, specialty printing, or additional embellishments should be ordered at least four months before your desired mailing date. For digitally printed suites without custom artwork, I recommend beginning the process approximately three months before your desired mailing date.
Additional embellishments, finishing details, and assembly should also be factored into your overall timeline.

Once your order is placed, the design process begins. Using the inspiration, details, and preferences you've shared, I will begin creating a custom design tailored specifically to your celebration.
Initial proofs are typically delivered within 7–10 business days. If your project includes custom artwork, such as a watercolor illustration, venue sketch, map, monogram, or crest, additional design time may be required before your first proof is delivered.
You'll receive a digital proof of your stationery for review, and up to four rounds of refinements are included to ensure every detail feels just right. Once your final proof has been approved, production will begin.
Digital printing typically requires 2–3 weeks for production, while specialty printing methods may require additional time. Throughout the process, you'll have the opportunity to review and approve your design before anything is printed.
Your stationery will never be sent to production without your final approval!
-
Guest counts often evolve throughout the planning process, and small adjustments can typically be accommodated. If changes occur after production has begun, additional printing and production charges may apply.
-
Wedding day stationery, including menus, place cards, table numbers, escort cards, signage, tags, and other event details, should typically be ordered 4–6 weeks before your wedding date.
Before beginning the design process, ensure the details are finalized and approved by anyone that would need to approve!
